After graduating from the University of Iowa in 2000, I came to the conclusion that corporate America wasn’t for me. In 2003 I left my suit and tie job and started tattooing in Phoenix, Arizona. I returned to my roots in the Council Bluffs/Omaha area to continue on my career path the following year. I worked at two area shops before venturing out and opening Black Squirrel Tattoo in 2010 and haven’t looked back. I consider versatility as one of my biggest strengths. I enjoy both color and black and grey work equally. I strive to tattoo with clean linework, solid color saturation, and smooth grey shading. I am obsessed with Japanese culture, art, and aesthetics in my professional and personal life. I am also an avid collector and have a special penchant for 80’s pop culture!
